The art of designing

Hi folks, I am here to help those who are frustrated & have a hard time finding the right colors. By the way, there is no such thing as right colors, every color is right in its way, it's just the combination which has to be right, that’s it. And that is exactly what we are going to find out here. So let's get started.

First things first, it's just science, simple raw science. Ok, let's do one thing, I want you to select one color that you like, just one, and let the science do the rest of the job. Let's say you chose red, that’s it half of the job is done, rest the harmonies will take care of it. You might have already heard of words like Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Split complementary, Triadic, Tetradic. These harmonies are scientifically proven color theories that are visually pleasing to the human brain.

Alright, once we are done choosing colors, it's time to decide how much we are going to use in our project. Always remember “Less is more”. The fewer colors you use the less complicated the project will be, and the brighter the colors are the messier it looks. So remember “Less is more”.

The next one is a gamechanger, no matter what color you choose and how much you use it if the “contrast” is not right then the whole design will go for a toss. Well, one way to fix this is toggling between greyscale and color. If your design looks apparent and clear in greyscale then it will always work in color especially when typography is involved.

Long story short, remember I said in the beginning, there is no such thing as right colors, there is just the right combination of harmonies, color usage, and contrast.
That’s it, folks. Happy designing.

Peace out.
